Spring, summer, autumn, and winter in Carinthia

In winter, a snow paradise, a wonderful piece of nature in the warm season: The Nock Mountains with their gentle hillocks and the view into the valley are unique in every season.

A winter at 1,600 metres

The Hochrindl is located at almost 1,600 metres above sea level in Carinthia. In such great heights, the first snowflakes fall soon and merge to form a solid snow cover with the help of modern snow machines. This means that guests can ski on the Hochrindl, the family ski region in the Nock Mountains, from mid-December. The ski season lasts until about mid-March and will invite you to ski on more than 20 km of excellently groomed slopes which are regularly awarded the Carinthian quality seal for slopes. But also, cross-country skiers will get their money’s worth and will glide along 23 km of cross-country ski trails in different difficulties. In spring, summer, and autumn, the Hochrindl is kissed by the sun and has a mild climate thanks to the proximity to the Mediterranean.
